Why choose us

A smile transformation in a single appointment

Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to fix chips, close gaps, lengthen short teeth or reshape your whole smile. It's additive (no drilling), affordable, and fully reversible — making it the most popular cosmetic treatment for adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

  • No drilling — completely additive and reversible
  • Results in a single visit (1–2 hours per appointment)
  • No anaesthetic needed in most cases
  • Closes gaps, fixes chips, reshapes worn or uneven teeth
  • Much more affordable than veneers (~1/4 the price)
  • Hand-sculpted by an experienced cosmetic dentist

Common questions

Frequently asked

How much does composite bonding cost?

Composite bonding at Gentle Dental Care starts from £250 per tooth. A full smile transformation (typically 6–10 teeth) is quoted after a free consultation — most patients invest £1,500–£2,500 for a complete cosmetic restyle.

How long does composite bonding last?

With good care, composite bonding lasts 5–7 years before it may need polishing or repair. It's not as durable as porcelain veneers but is fully reversible and much more affordable.

Is bonding done in one visit?

Yes — a typical bonding appointment takes 1–2 hours per visit. Single teeth can be done immediately; full smile bonding is usually completed in one or two visits with no drilling and no need for anaesthetic in most cases.

Does composite bonding damage the tooth?

No. Bonding is additive — we apply tooth-coloured resin directly to the existing tooth without removing any natural structure. If you don't like the result it can be removed entirely.

Can I whiten my teeth before bonding?

Yes — and we recommend it. Whitening first means the composite is colour-matched to your brightest shade, and won't stand out later if you whiten again. We typically whiten, then bond 2 weeks later.

Bonding vs veneers — which is right for me?

Bonding is faster, cheaper, fully reversible and great for chips, gaps and minor reshaping. Veneers are more durable, longer-lasting (15+ years) and produce a more dramatic transformation — but they're permanent and cost more. We'll advise honestly in your consultation.
